Personal Information
When you register or use Secure Residence, we may collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, flat/unit number, and society name.
- Profile Information: Profile photo (optional), role (Admin, Resident, Security).
- Payment Records: Maintenance payment amounts, dates, and UPI transaction references. We do not store your UPI PIN or bank credentials.
Visitor Data
- Visitor names, purpose of visit, entry/exit timestamps, and photographs captured at the gate.
- QR code gate pass data including creation time, expiry, and scan logs.
Automatically Collected Data
- Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Crash logs and performance data to improve the app.
- IP address and approximate location (city-level only, never precise GPS).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Secure Residence app and its features.
- Process and track maintenance payments within your society.
- Generate gate passes and manage visitor entry/exit logs.
- Send you notifications related to your society (notices, complaints, events).
- Provide customer support and respond to your queries.
- Monitor app performance and fix bugs.
3. Data Isolation & Security
Each society's data is completely isolated. Residents, visitors, payments, and complaints from one society are never accessible to another society. We implement:
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Database policies ensure users only access their own society's data.
- Encrypted Connections: All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Secure Cloud Hosting: Data is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with regular backups.
- Role-Based Access: Admins, residents, and security guards have different access levels.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following cases:
- With Your Society Admin: Admins can view resident information, payment records, and visitor logs for their society only.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (cloud hosting, analytics) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you or your society admin requests account deletion:
- Personal data is deleted within 30 days.
- Anonymized data (aggregate statistics) may be retained for analytics.
- Visitor logs and payment records are retained for the society's records as required by applicable regulations.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and review the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., promotional notifications).

7. Children's Privacy
